Grounds: This 14th-century weathered stone manor house and farm buildings is situated amid the leafy rural roll of the Cotswolds on 220 acres of grounds. The property offers the perfect opportunity for cycling, walking and tennis.
Transport: First Great Western runs a direct train service from London Paddington to Kemble station (only 10 miles from Calcot Manor). The journey takes an hour and a half and the taxi from the station costs £25.
Calcot is only a two-hour car journey from London. The nearest airport is Bristol Airport (27.3 miles away). Bristol is 21.1 miles away and Cheltenham is 18.6 miles away.
Nearby: Go antique hunting in a nearby town, go for a walk or relax by the pool or a log fire. Calcot Manor is only three miles from Tetbury, just a short drive from the M4.
Interesting places nearby include the historic city of Bath (20-minute drive), the ancient wool towns of the Cotswolds and the Cotswold Way footpath for exploring. There are also nature reserves closeby like the Slimbridge Wetland Centre. Also, the Westonbirt Arboretum in Tetbury, with 16,000 trees from all over the world and 17-miles of trails.

Yes, there are family-designed bedrooms, an all-day creche (Ofsted-registered), an over eights entertainment area, a kids’ tea every day and also a special swimming pool for children. Children are allowed in the spa between 3.45pm – 5.15 daily and 8.45 am – 10.15am Saturday and Sunday.

Food & drink: There are two restaurants available to guests. The Conservatory Restaurant is more formal and the Gumstool Inn is more pub-like, both are delicious restaurants offering different dining experiences. You and your other half can grab a drink at the Gumstool while relaxing by the fire (there is a real country pub environment with the log fire and lodge-like feel).
