Enjoyable Relaxing Stay I am surprised at some of the negative comments people have written about their stay at Champneys Forest Mere, Firstly I would not call Forest Mere a Hotel but an excellent Spa, the location is superb and very relaxing at any time of the year. Depending on the type of room your choose the views over the Lake are lovely, the wildlife is amazing. The Spa facilities are up to date and you can do as much or as little as you like.Breakfast and Lunch are self service with plenty to choose from and the Chef is only too helpful to cater for any allergies etc that you might have, I have always found the restaurant staff very friendly.Dinner menus are different over a 3 day period and there is plenty to choose from, if you feel portions are too small just ask for more. There are plenty of areas to sit and chill with two lovely open log fires in the winter which are continually stoked by the staff. The staff are extremely helpful and Friendly and I must commend Esma and Tom, Front house managers who are always on hand to help.My only point would be the evenings, which could do with a little more entertainment. The bedrooms and Spa have recently been refurbished to a high standard.I would recommend a stay at Forest Mere to anyone without hesitation.janetaheri12/21/2018
10/10! Wonderful stay We arrived on the Saturday and stayed for one night. It was by far the best hotel we've stayed at. We upgraded to have early check in and lunch, then we had dinner, breakfast, lunch the next day and late check out too. The hotel is on gorgeous grounds, it is so beautiful. The hotel is also beautiful and kept to a very high standard. The food is delicious and plentiful. The spa is INCREDIBLE! I highly recommend even a day here. There's the main swimming pool, a hydro pool and jacuzzi, a heated outside spa pool, sauna, steam room, cold room (I didn't use this), tropical showers, water beds and heated beds to rest on! It's so relaxing and restful. I have never been so relaxed in my life. I also had an Indian Head Massage at the spa which was heavenly. There is a shop which sells clothing bits, Champneys Spa products and also Clinique and Elmis amongst other bits. Each member of the team are so efficient, helpful, friendly and attentive. I cannot praise them enough! They are so kind and can't do enough for you. They are all work so hard and are on the ball. Will help with anything you need. The bedroom was nice, good size and very, very comfy bed! Tea and coffee in the room as well as still & sparkling water. The whole experience felt very luxurious. I definitely want to... Amazing Outstanding resort. Breathtaking views and surrounding areas. Spotlessly clean everywhere, comfy large bed, superb range of food and plenty of it. Friendly, polite staff. Amazing spa with plenty to fill your day from the spa or the numerous fitness classes and gym. Have visited three times now and will definitely go again.Happiness0204185395112/19/2018
