Travel Trends for 2015
The recently released Global Trends Report from the World Travel Market identified nine emerging trends for 2015. The 2014 WTM report shows us that travel in 2015 is all about changing technology and repositioning of global destinations for tourism.
In 2015, we are choosing to connect with local people for an authentic meal, finding easier ways to book a trip with advances in technology and discovering new reasons to visit different countries.
Younger generations have embraced the stylish and affordable ‘poshtel’ while hotels find ways to promote themselves with customer ‘braggies’ on social platforms. The report named Africa as the next capital for surfing, India to increase the amount of online bookings on its rail network, and the Middle East to reposition itself as a destination for design tourism.
“Poshtels, braggies, and peer-to-peer eating are just some of the trends that will shape the global travel market over the next year.” [Tweet this]
